Smart Farming Berbasis Energi Surya untuk Pengendalian Hama Kakao Ramah Satwa

Kakao merupakan komoditas perkebunan penting, tetapi produktivitas pada tingkat petani dapat terganggu oleh serangan hama dan konflik satwa liar serta tingginya ketergantungan pada pestisida. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan menerapkan teknologi smart farming yang mengintegrasikan pagar elektrik ramah satwa dan perangkap lampu ultraviolet (UV) bertenaga surya pada Kelompok Tani Padangtiku, Kelurahan Rampoang, Kota Palopo. Metode meliputi identifikasi masalah, perancangan dan pemasangan teknologi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta monitoring sebelum dan sesudah penerapan. Monitoring dilakukan pada tiga unit sampel, masing-masing 100 buah kakao, pengamatan gangguan monyet selama 30 hari, penggunaan pestisida per siklus, hasil panen, tangkapan perangkap UV selama tujuh malam, serta evaluasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra. Hasil menunjukkan intensitas serangan buah turun dari rata-rata 42,00% menjadi 12,67% atau berkurang 69,84%. Kejadian masuk monyet turun dari 10 menjadi 3 kejadian per 30 hari, penggunaan pestisida dari 20 menjadi 6 L per siklus, dan produksi dari 120 menjadi 204 kg per periode pencatatan. Perangkap UV menangkap 84 serangga selama tujuh malam; 60 ekor dikategorikan sebagai serangga sasaran berdasarkan lembar monitoring lapangan. Skor pengetahuan, keterampilan pengoperasian, dan keterampilan perawatan masing-masing meningkat dari 50 menjadi 85. Hasil menunjukkan teknologi berpotensi mendukung pengendalian hama kakao yang lebih preventif, hemat energi, dan ramah satwa, meskipun efektivitas kausal masih perlu diuji melalui monitoring lebih panjang dan kelompok pembanding.
