Inovasi Rumah Burung Hantu Plus (Rubuha +) untuk Pengendalian Hama pada Tanaman Padi

Serangan hama merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas pertanian. Serangan hama dengan intensitas tinggi dapat menyebabkan penurunan produksi hingga ancaman gagal panen. Inovasi rumah burung hantu plus (Rubuha+) diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi pencegahan dan pengendalian hama pada tanaman padi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pattedong Selatan, Kecamatan Ponrang Selatan, Kabupaten Luwu, Sulawesi Selatan. Mitra yang dilibatkan pada kegiatan ini yaitu kelompok tani Sipakatuo dan Sipakatuo 1. Selain kelompok tani, juga terlibat aparat desa, PPL (Penyuluh Pertanian Lapangan) dan POPT (Pengendali Organisme Pengganggu Tumbuhan) yang bertugas di wilayah Ponrang Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu observasi, sosialisasi, penerapan inovasi Rubuha+, dan evaluasi program. Kegiatan observasi dilakukan dengan kunjungan ke lapangan dan diskusi dengan mitra terkait permasalahan yang dihadapi. Salah satu permasalahan petani yaitu tingginya serangan hama utamanya tikus sawah, wereng dan penggerek batang. Permasalahan ditindaklanjuti dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan BIMTEK pembuatan inovasi Rubuha+ sebagai salah satu solusi untuk pengendalian hama pada tanaman padi. Rubuha + yang telah dibuat kemudian dipasang pada lahan sawah yang dijadikan demoplot. Tahapan akhir yaitu evaluasi dan keberlanjutan program untuk mengukur efektivitas teknologi yang diterapkan. Selama pelaksanaan kegiatan, para petani yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani Sipakatuo dan Sipakatuo 1 sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini. Begitu pula Kepala Desa Pattedong Selatan sangat mengapresiasi dan berharap kegiatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat besar ke petani khususnya dalam membantu menekan serangan hama. Diharapkan program ini dapat berperan dalam mewujudkan pertanian ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan.
