Pelatihan Penyiapan Persemaian dan Produksi Bibit untuk Pemulihan Ekosistem di Taman Nasional Gandang Dewata

Taman Nasional Gandang Dewata di Sulawesi Barat merupakan kawasan konservasi strategis dengan keragaman hayati tinggi dan fungsi ekologis penting. Namun, tekanan antropogenik seperti alih fungsi lahan dan degradasi hutan telah mengancam stabilitas ekosistemnya. Menanggapi kondisi tersebut, tim pengabdian dari perguruan tinggi menyelenggarakan pelatihan penyiapan persemaian dan produksi bibit tanaman lokal di Desa Lambanan selama April–Mei 2024. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam teknik pembibitan berbasis spesies lokal sebagai bagian dari upaya pemulihan ekosistem. Metode pelatihan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential learning). Sebanyak 25 peserta dari kelompok masyarakat lokal mengikuti pelatihan ini secara aktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan teknis dan keterampilan peserta, terutama dalam pembuatan media tanam berbasis bahan lokal dan teknik persemaian. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan terbentuknya kelompok kerja pembibitan masyarakat serta penyusunan rencana tindak lanjut untuk mendukung keberlanjutan unit persemaian. Secara keseluruhan, program ini memperlihatkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat merupakan strategi efektif dalam konservasi berbasis komunitas. Keterlibatan langsung warga dalam pembibitan tanaman lokal terbukti memperkuat aspek sosial-ekologis dalam rehabilitasi kawasan hutan.
