Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian pelatihan pembuatan perangkap serangga untuk mengendalikan hama pada pertanaman bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada siswa tentang jenis perangkap, manfaat dan cara pembuatan perangkap yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan serangga hama pada pertanaman. Melalui program ini siswa diharapkan dapat mengetahui dan membuat perangkap untuk mengendalikan hama pada tanaman baik dalam skala tanaman pekarangan ataupun perkebunan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan kegiatan penyuluhan berupa pemberian materi tentang hama pada tanaman. Kemudian dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan membuat beberapa perangkap berupa yellow trap, pitfall dan perangkap lalat buah. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan melihat kemampuan siswa membuat dan menggunakan perangkap hama untuk pengendalian pada tanaman. Hal ini merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang pengendalian hama yang ramah lingkungan sehingga untuk mengurangi penggunaan bahan kimia dalam dmenunjang pertanian yang berkelanjutan.
